HAC is a method of analysing and classifying the environment where explosive gas atmospheres may occur to allow the proper selection of electrical apparatus to be installed in that environment.

To review the existing Hazardous Area Classification of the plant with respect to IS 5572 and relevant international standards like NFPA 497,70 and 499, IEC 60079-10-1 and IEC 60079-10-2.

To review the selection of electrical equipment installed in the hazardous area as per IS 5571 and IEC 60079-0 guidelines.
